catBoarding Services for Cats

Cats are quite unique creatures and require a different set of circumstances regarding boarding. They can be very territorial animals and therefore a change in environment can sometimes be difficult for them to accept. Cats are also more particular regarding their diet and can be quite fussy. It is often best to feed them the same diet that they are accustomed. Let us know when admitting your cat what their preferences are regarding their food likes and dislikes.

We have a separate area for those cats that stay with us. It is away from any noise and is in an area where there is activity and staff present for the cats to see and be entertained. The cats have their own private kennel and will feel comfortable and secure in this environment. We have larger suites that are available for those larger cats that require additional space.

Twice daily, the attendants like to spend time with the cats. They pet and talk to them and will clean all food bowls, litter pans and their resting area. This is a good time to encourage the cats to eat and to feel more secure. The kennels are freshened twice a day with new bedding for your cat. Comfortable fleece bedding is available in which they can curl up. The cats are allowed free time out of their cages on a rotational basis where they can spend time on the cat tree watching the birds outside, play time with an attendant or enjoy a daily brush.

The boarding fees are per night of stay per pet. If your pet is dropped off at our facility after 12 noon, you are not charged for that day. You will be charged for the day of discharge, regardless of the time of day you pick up your pet.

Boarding Requirements for Cats

All cats must be up to date on the following vaccinations:

  • Rabies
  • FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calici Virus, Panleukopenia)

3Boarding Services for Dogs

Your pets will enjoy their stay at our boarding facility when you need to be away from home or on holiday. The boarding wing at Terra Glen is a separate designated area. The indoor runs are spacious and the large windows provide lots of natural light. Large outdoor runs, and exercise yards give the dogs lots of exercise during their stay. The indoor facility is air-conditioned and heated for their comfort during summer and winter. All pets have either blankets or fleece bedding with them in the indoor runs so they have a nice place to curl up for comfort.

We have many services that your pet can enjoy during their stay such as walks, brushing, playtimes, etc. and offer packages with these extra services included. You can leave your pet with peace of mind, knowing that they are receiving the best possible care. All you need to bring with your dog is their diet and any medications to be provided throughout their stay. We will ask for specific feeding instructions upon admission.

The prices for boarding are one set fee with additional services available such as play times or brushing with an attendant, bathing prior to going home, or a spa day with our groomer. Vaccinations Requirements for Dogs

All dogs must have received the following vaccinations at least 48 hours prior to admission:

  • DA2PP (distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, parainfluenza)
  • Rabies
  • Bordetella bronchioceptica (kennel cough)
